I’m thinking about having my own website. There’s some work on my lay out and I want to be able to add features that I can’t add today.
With a personal website comes a unique look & feel and a domain (farahforpresident.com?!). I’ll maybe want take to a first step towards an own brand and with a brand comes a logo. As I don’t want to sell anything (yet) and just experimenting as I go along, the logo has to be open for interpretation, but with a strong, clear messaging.
I can write down all that I want my logo to represent and follow the rules of the game, but I’m just going to browse through some pictures until the image in my head gets some shape.
Hooray for brainstorming!
For now I’m just browsing pages like http://logofaves.com/ and http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/ to get an idea. I’m using http://pltts.me/ for color combos and http://www.myfonts.com/ for inspirational fonts.
Coincidentally the Next Web was so kind to give me some pointers as well and there I came accross Niice.co. Pretty Nice!
So on the to do list: get a domain, think of a lay out for your website, create a logo and start branding… Hm on second thought; can’t I just find someone to do it for me?
